Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water keeps 3 million people healthy each day with safe, reliable water, and takes away wastewater to clean, before returning it safely to our rivers and seas. Llys y Fran is our largest reservoir in Pembrokeshire, located in the foothills of the Preseli Mountains. The site has a £4m refurbishment with a Visitor Centre, a new café, retail area and an Activity Centre offering both land and water-based activities. What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all external bodies, visitors and members of the public attending the visitor attraction centre.
  • Contributing to the visitors’ attractions team objectives and goals; managing meeting room bookings, catering, and water-sports requirements.
  • Contributing to health and safety requirements on site, ensuring a safe and fit-for-purpose working environment for staff and visitors.
  • Assisting the Visitor Attraction management team with ensuring Welsh Water operates and maintains a safe and secure working environment, meeting Health and Safety and Statutory Compliance standards; assisting with Fire Registers, evacuations, first aid and security.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors, ensuring they sign in and are met by their site contact.
  • Handling telephone enquiries, transferring calls, taking messages and answering queries for site activities.
  • Assisting Business Support with general day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Assisting with all elements of post, deliveries, parcels, couriers and special deliveries on site.
  • Monitoring, creating and rearranging the water sports booking system via EOLA software.
  • Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Who you’ll work with:

  • Internal: Key internal staff and managers, Visitor Attractions Team, Personal Assistants and Admin Assistants of Executives and Senior Managers.
  • External: All members of the public and Welsh Water customers, Visitors to site, External bodies and organisations contacting Welsh Water, External service providers including Facilities Service Providers, Catering services provider, Grounds maintenance, Security and Office Fit-out Contractors, Emergency Services – Fire, Police, etc.

About You:

Essential Qualifications: Clerical/administration or public relation related qualifications.

Essential Experience: Experience in dealing with members of the public, working in front of house on reception or customer-facing roles, Experience in making and receiving phone calls and enquiries, dealing with customers and members of the public on the phone.

Essential Knowledge & Skills: Enthusiastic about putting customers first every day, Commercial awareness, Knowledge or experience of Health and Safety processes, Competent knowledge of computers with experience in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, Ability to make positive decisions and manage situations, Ability to undertake tasks on your own within set timescales and also work within a team, Ability to communicate effectively in English.
