What you’ll be responsible for:
- Demonstrating a keen willingness to constantly work as part of a team
- Achieving and maintaining the area leakage targets
- Reacting and working alongside all other departments during Silver & Gold incidents
- Ensuring that all GIS updates are submitted to GIS bureau to allow Welsh Water to maintain high quality information
- Ensuring Welsh Water leakage targets are met using various techniques to reduce leakage
- Ensuring the proper application and compliance with all company health and safety procedures, with the safety of colleagues and customers always in mind
- Effective liaison with colleagues in the distribution team during normal work practice and in times of emergency, arriving at network/leakage solutions
- Making sure the correct details are entered onto the various IT systems on a daily basis
- Ensuring correct working practices are adhered to on site in and out of hours
- Representing Welsh Water throughout the lifecycle of projects, assisting as necessary the partner through the project development, planning, approvals and statutory processes
- Dealing with sometimes difficult situations in a friendly and professional manner, whilst striving for a speedy resolution
- Making recommendations for the improvement of the network
- Efficiently organising your own time, handling routine work with a minimum of supervision, assessing priorities within your area of work and managing those priorities
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business

- To support operational efficiencies, we are looking for candidates based within the Newport/Gwent area
- Working hours of 8am-4pm
- Participation of standby rota (1 week in 5)

About you:
- Current, full valid driving licence
- Good level of customer service experience
- Computer Literate
- Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of the water industry
- The drive and ambition to provide a first class service to our customers
- Sound understanding of Microsoft software packages including but not limited to Excel, Word
- Willingness to both work alone and as part of a team when required
- The ability to build and maintain good networks with internal departments, company partners and contractors
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and in difficult circumstances, whilst still providing an unbiased service to our customers
