What you’ll be responsible for:
- Operate Water Treatment Works and associated water pumping stations to company BMS and Health & Safety requirements.
- Controlling chemical and other stock levels and consumables by control and management of purchasing via SAP.
- Monitoring and controlling expenditure to meet budgetary targets.
- Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital maintenance breakdowns and projects ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS requirements and ensuring quality control.
- Liaise with ME&I craftsmen on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work.
- Liaising and planning work with network supervisors and operatives to ensure uninterrupted supply when plant shut downs are required for maintenance and other associated work required on site.
- Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation.
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
About you:
- NVQ Level 2 or higher, BTEC, ONC/HNC qualifications in Water.
- Experience gained in the industry with use of SCADA systems, Instrumentation and Mechanical and Electrical equipment.
- Experience gained in the industry to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S issues.
- Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.
- Computer systems literate including SAP, Scope X, Exchange, Word and Excel.
- Awareness of regulatory bodies such as DWI and Environment Agency/NRW.
- Dealing with control of abstraction under licence at raw water intakes.
- Dealing with discharge consent licence for all environmental discharges.

- Requirement for standby (1 in 6).
