We’re looking for a proactive and analytical FP&A Analyst to join our newly established Financial Planning & Analysis Team, supporting strategic planning and helping to shape the organisation's long‑term decision‑making. This role has been created to strengthen analytical capability and provide deeper financial insight. As part of a new team, the role offers the opportunity to help shape ways of working and analytical approaches.
In this role, you will:
- Develop, maintain and improve financial models to support budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial planning.
- Provide analysis, insight and scenario modelling that helps the business understand financial performance and future risks.
- Ensure models and reporting are accurate, transparent and aligned with regulatory, Treasury and internal requirements.
- Translate financial and operational data into clear reporting, dashboards and commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with Finance Business Partners, Regulation, Treasury and operational teams to ensure strong alignment and shared understanding of key drivers.
- Support continuous improvement across modelling, systems, data flows and reporting processes.
- Be comfortable starting from a blank sheet and forming your own analytical approach, rather than relying solely on pre‑defined templates or established outputs.
Who you’ll work with:
- Internal: Functional Leadership, Finance Director, Finance Business Partners, Management Accountants
- External: Audit
About you:
- Has demonstrable experience in an analytical finance role with proven success in building financial models and creating insightful management reporting.
- Demonstrable experience of working with tools like Excel, Power BI or other analytics platforms (or a willingness to learn).
- Enjoys developing analysis where there is no established template or benchmark.
- Is comfortable applying judgement to assess whether outputs are sensible and decision‑ready.
- Values rigour and clarity over process for its own sake.
- Has a relevant financial qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA etc) or is working towards one.
- Experience in a regulated environment is helpful but not essential — we welcome applicants who can bring fresh perspectives and transferable skills.
Good to know:
Interviews will be at the beginning of June. You will be expected to attend the office typically 2 days a week.
Benefits:
- 33 days annual leave (pro rata, including public holidays).
- Option to buy additional annual leave up to 5 days per year.
- Enhanced employer pension contributions – up to 11% employer contributions.
- Free mortgage brokering services.
- Enhanced family‑friendly policies.
- Progression opportunities, including the ability to apply for funded training and coaching and mentoring programmes.
