What to expect?

This role will see you operate Water Treatment Works and associated water pumping stations to company BMS and Health & Safety requirements. This will include:

  • Controlling chemical and other stock levels and consumables by control and management of purchasing via SAP.
  • Monitoring and controlling expenditure to meet budgetary targets.
  • Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital maintenance breakdowns and projects ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS requirements and ensuring quality control.
  • To liaise with ME&I crafts team on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work.
  • Liaising and planning work with network supervisors and operatives to ensure uninterrupted supply when plant shut downs are required for maintenance and other associated work required on site.
  • Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation.
  • Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

This role requires a full drivers licence.

Salary: All of our apprenticeship and trainee programmes will start on £25,949

Training: Will be provided on the job. Start date will be 7th September 2026
