Who we are

Our Visitor Attraction site at Lisvane and Llanishen opened in 2023, in the North of Cardiff, and is open all year round! This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to join Welsh Water. The site boasts a state-of-the-art Visitor Attraction building with a 150-cover restaurant, balcony with views over both reservoirs, group and cubicle changing rooms, both land and water-based activities, education learning space, bird hides & islands, meeting rooms and a Grab & Go. Come and join our team and work in this green/blue oasis less than 5 miles from Cardiff city centre.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Serving customers and waiting on tables
  • Operating the till, handling cash and card payments
  • To ensure a courteous and friendly service is provided to each and every customer
  • Striving to develop and improve the customer experience offering
  • Displaying food items and restocking the counter
  • Ensure that tables and areas are kept clean and available for customers
  • Undertaking any other duties as required by the Catering Manager to meet the needs of the business

About you

We are looking for candidates who are positive, friendly, can work under their own initiative, and are passionate to work with the general public! Full training will be provided for this role, however if you have any experience of working in the food service or retail industry that would be beneficial.

Good to know

  • Weekend shifts, minimum six hours to be worked each weekend between the hours 09.00 - 17.00.
  • There will be possibility of additional hours during peak times and possible evenings.
  • A satisfactory DBS check will be required prior to start date for all successful applicants.
