What to expect?
Our Network Technician teams are responsible for Service Providers & associated field teams involved in the operation, maintenance & repair of our sewerage network assets. Carry out investigations for flooding, third‑party associated and customer service, ensuring that they are completed to the highest standard and compliant with their respective audit procedures. Assist the Network Manager with the safe & efficient operation of the sewerage network, ensuring all operational activities are undertaken in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. Identification of investment requirements to improve service and reduce costs. Effective liaison with Highway Authorities with regards to Streetworks defects. Monitor and review telemetry alarms; carry out detailed investigations and make recommendations that reduce alarm activity and improve operational efficiencies.
As part of your development, there will be a mixture of practical and theory‑based learning. You will expect to attend college to complete a HNC in Civil Engineering. As well as this, you will receive role‑specific technical training in line with your academic studies. We work with Bridgend College to deliver the qualification, therefore there’s likely to be an expectation to travel to and from the college for block weeks.
What do I need?
Working towards a driving licence if you haven’t already got one. There is a requirement for A Level qualifications (or equivalent) for the HNC study element of this role.
