Overview
Operate Water Treatment Works and associated water pumping stations to company BMS and Health & Safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Controlling chemical and other stock levels and consumables by control and management of purchasing via SAP.
- Monitoring and controlling expenditure to meet budgetary targets.
- Inducting, supervising and managing outside contractors carrying out revenue and reactive capital maintenance breakdowns and projects, ensuring full compliance to Health & Safety and BMS requirements and ensuring quality control.
- To liaise with ME&I crafts team on revenue and reactive capital maintenance work.
- Liaising and planning work with network supervisors and operatives to ensure uninterrupted supply when plant shut downs are required for maintenance and other associated work required on site.
- Participating in arrangements and cover for annual leave and sickness for area of operation.
- Undertaking any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C or above.
- Working towards a driving licence if you don't already have one.

- Length of programme: 18 months
- Start Date: All of our apprenticeship and trainee programmes will start on 07 September 2026
