The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Design and develop new and existing Debt Management System functionality. This is a technical development role with responsibility for designing, developing and supporting the production Debt Management System and interfaces. Implementing a roadmap of changes to Collections Systems in an accurate and timely manner. It involves working closely with users, business leadership and team managers to identify, analyse and resolve issues, agree and produce technical designs, implementing and testing solutions and operational deployment tasks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Design, build, test, deploy and maintain a robust, fit for purpose PowerCurve Collections solution that flexibly supports the collections function in its objectives.

  2. Development, testing, deployment and maintenance of litigation enforcement strategies and production of court documents in support of the collections litigation team.

  3. Development of new and maintenance of existing external data feeds in and out of PowerCurve Collections to deliver improvement in collections efficiency in accordance with business requirements.

  4. Deliver and maintain champion Challenger strategies, treatments paths and reporting to assist in the identification of the most effective collections strategies.

  5. Implement, maintain and improve robust data structures that fully support the delivery of all aspects of operational performance, at a portfolio and employee level.

  6. Proactively identify, and recommend improvements to existing processes, interfaces, treatment paths and letters within the collections area.

  7. Create and maintain detailed reference documentation setting out the collections treatment paths and decisions.

  8. Data analysis and investigation to support the identification of system issues. Designing, testing and deploying any required fixes to resolve the issues.

  9. Deliver all development work accurately, timely and to a prioritised development schedule.

  10. Create and maintain technical documents to outline processes and procedures

  11. Work with Collections Management and other stakeholders to establish functional and non-functional requirements and translating these into effectively designed PowerCurve Collections and interface development.

  12. Support and contribute in new and ongoing projects. Working with other working parties and stakeholders as required and representing Collections as a PowerCurve Collections SME.

  13. Ensure that the General Data Protection Regulations and all other relevant legislation and policies are complied with in the delivery of the duties of the post

  14. Ensure that the environment is governed according to access and security policies.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • IT/Computer Science/Mathematics Degree

  • Debt Management Systems development experience (PowerCurve Collections)

  • Strong SQL experience (efficient querying, optimisation, complex joins) in particular on SQLServer

  • Workflow and process systems experience as a "power user"

  • Expertise in MS office applications (Excel, Access, Visio)

  • Report design in at least one mainstream BI package (Crystal, SSRS, Jasper, Cognos etc.)

  • Use of web technologies (html, css, javascript)

  • Understanding of software development practices and methodologies

  • Unit, integration and system testing

  • Awareness of general IT landscape (office applications, virtualisation, security)

  • Understanding of technical infrastructure (networks, citrix, active directory)

  • User support and problem investigation
