Reporting to Global Sales Director, the Account Manager is a key sales and business development position responsible for driving growth in the United Kingdom market. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding sales of wind turbine technical training solutions. You will be expected to leverage your technical expertise in wind technology alongside strong sales and business development capabilities to effectively promote and sell wind energy technical training services to customers. Travel throughout the United Kingdom will be required.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities for wind energy training services.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored wind energy solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues globally to develop sales strategies and achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct solution-based wind energy training presentations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to close sales deals.
- Flexible and available to do site visits and conferences throughout the year.
- Focus on developing long-term customer partnerships for wind technical training.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and support throughout the sales and implementation process.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Address technical inquiries and develop training solutions related to various OEM wind turbine arrangements in functionality and performance.
- Build rapport with clients through regular communication and proactive engagement.
- Conduct regular follow-up meetings to ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
- Gather feedback from clients to inform product enhancements and service improvements.
- Ensure timely follow-up with customers to address inquiries, provide information, and gather feedback.
- Help to maintain positive relationships with customers through a key account plan which you will own.
- Develop effective communication plans for dwpa events, seasonal and promotional updates.
- Assist in reviewing and maintaining customer contact information in the CRM database.
- Review customer activities and follow-ups of previous projects, inquiries, and contacts.
- Input relevant information into the CRM system, including customer interactions, sales activities, PO’s and project updates.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in wind power generation technology.
- Ability to converse and advise on technical specifications and capabilities of the United Kingdom wind turbine fleet.
- Assist clients in assessing their wind energy needs and recommending appropriate training solutions based on their technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Wind Energy Experience: Minimum of 3 years (required)
- Sales Experience: 5+ years (required)
The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as qualifications, education, experience, and complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent. This position is eligible for a performance bonus related to qualifications and experience.
