We are looking for an outstanding Senior Application Operations Engineer to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital, to provide application operations which deliver continuity of service for our users across DWP Digital services.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Demonstrable ability of building strong relationships within a team and with other stakeholders to ensure service outcomes are achieved.
- Evidence of successfully implementing improvement initiatives from a technical and process angle. A passion for automation over manual interventions.
- Problem Solving & Systems Thinking – Proven ability to break down complex problems and think in terms of system architecture; Evidence of ability to resolve complex incidents across multiple systems.
- Previous experience of managing the technical application support of services including understanding and exposure of the ITIL Service Management Framework to deliver a quality service.

You'll also play a key role in mentoring others, driving improvements and collaborating with a wide range of teams across DWP Digital.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £46,547
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97% , worth over £12,000 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexitime. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
