- Experience supporting project delivery in an Agile environment, ensuring work is planned and managed to achieve high quality outcomes.
- Proven ability to transition new services into live operation, managing risks, dependencies and effective handover to operational teams.
- Track record of identifying improvement opportunities and supporting successful implementation of changes.
- Experience delivering service transition assurance, following service integration processes and escalating risks or gaps where required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across service design, operations and IT teams.
- Ability to prepare for and support go live readiness activities, ensuring services are stable, supported and operational from day one.
You and your role
This Service Transition Manager role is your opportunity to take the lead in bringing new and improved services into live operation with confidence and control. Working at the heart of the ITIL Service Management framework, you'll partner closely with Service Design and IT Operations teams to make sure every service lands smoothly, safely and ready to perform. You'll drive the transition plan from start to finish coordinating schedules, managing risks, dependencies and ensuring every project is fully prepared for go live. You will own any issues that arise during transition, maintaining responsibility until they are resolved or handed over appropriately. You will carry out QA checks in line with departmental service integration processes, highlighting any gaps or risks that may impact service readiness. You'll also make sure our development teams provide all necessary transition deliverables, enabling new services to have complete and well defined support structures, including processes, SLAs, KPIs and OLAs.

- Location: You'll join us in your choice of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Manchester or Newcastle.
- Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
- Pay: We offer competitive pay of £44,447.
- Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth £12,876 per year.
