Senior Application Operations Engineer Pay up to £46,547 plus 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid working, flexible hours, and great work life balance. DWP. Digital with Purpose. We are looking for an outstanding Senior Application Operations Engineer to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital, to provide application operations which deliver continuity of service for our users across DWP Digital services. We\’re using fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives. We help people into work and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support and empower millions of people. Demonstrable ability of building strong relationships within a team and with other stakeholders to ensure service outcomes are achieved. A passion for automation over manual interventions. Previous experience of managing the technical application support of services including understanding and exposure of the ITIL Service Management Framework to deliver a quality service. You\’ll be working with a mix of technologies, from Linux and Windows servers to cloud platforms and databases. You\’ll be the go-to person when things go wrong, helping to fix issues, improve processes and support your colleagues. We work in an agile environment, using ITIL and other best practices to deliver great service to our users. You\’ll also play a key role in mentoring others, driving improvements and collaborating with a wide range of teams across DWP Digital. Whether it\’s managing incidents, leading service transitions, or helping new starters settle in, you\’ll be central to making sure our services run like clockwork. Location: You\’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool or Newcastle, whichever is most convenient for you. Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – you\’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub. Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £ 46,547 Pension: You\’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time. You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexitime. You\’ll also get all the usual public holidays.
