We are looking for outstanding Senior Infrastructure Engineers who are skilled in network automation to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital, to assist in the design of Infrastructure services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Demonstrable knowledge of writing and maintaining Infrastructure and Configuration as Code.
- Strong experience of using Unix/Linux/Windows in a support and/or development environment including scripting languages.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a NetDevOps environment - Continuous Integration & Deployment, Delivery methods and techniques, including agile scrum experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience of supporting, guiding and developing engineers across multi-disciplinary teams in an agile environment.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and supporting cloud-based network solutions across a multi-cloud environment.
You and your role
You'll work alongside talented engineers across cloud and on-premises technologies, helping to build smarter, more automated ways of working that improve service reliability and speed up delivery. From designing secure connectivity solutions across AWS, Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to leading technical improvements and automation initiatives, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact from day one.
This is a role for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, influencing how services evolve and working across a range of delivery approaches, from agile to project-based environments. You'll build strong relationships across engineering teams, lead continuous improvement and help create modern, high-performing services that support millions of users.
Location:
You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle, whichever is more convenient for you.
Hybrid Working:
We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay:
We offer competitive pay of up to £73,205
Pension:
You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £16,000 per year.
Holidays:
A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexitime. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
