You and your role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, your day is all about making sure people can securely access the systems they need, when they need them. You'll spend time working with identity platforms like Active Directory and Entra ID, keeping authentication running smoothly and improving how sign in, access and permissions are managed across the organisation. One moment you might be tuning SSO or MFA, the next you'll be dealing with certificates, secrets and encryption keys to keep everything locked down and compliant. You'll work across cloud environments such as Azure, AWS and OCI, integrating identity services so users, devices and applications all authenticate securely. A big part of the role is automation, using PowerShell, APIs and infrastructure-as-code to make identity processes faster, safer and more reliable. You'll also help shape and deliver a new identity governance capability, designing access controls, reviews and policies that reduce risk and support compliance. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with security teams, engineers and stakeholders across the business, translating security requirements into practical identity solutions that actually work in the real world.
