We are looking for a Service Transition Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We're using fresh ideas and leading-edge tech to build and maintain digital solutions that will be used by nearly every person in the UK, every day and at key moments in their lives. We help people into work and make payments worth over £195bn a year to support and empower millions of people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the seamless transition of complex digital services into stable business-as-usual operations, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining service quality and enhancing user experience across digital channels.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of service transitions, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure all resources, processes, and acceptance criteria are in place.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of service changes, managing evaluation and acceptance of new or updated services, while ensuring alignment with organisational policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience of IT Service Management in an ITIL or equivalent Framework.
- Proven experience of supporting the delivery of projects in an Agile environment.
- Proven track record of transitioning projects into live service.
- Demonstrable history of influencing key stakeholders in order to drive and maintain improvements in digital services.
- An ITIL Foundation qualification (or willingness to work towards one) would be advantageous but is not essential.
Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
