DWP. Digital with Purpose. We're looking for an Events Production Manager to join our team. In this role you'll be delivering a mix of virtual and face-to-face events, working closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts to help engage, inform and inspire over 8,000 colleagues. You'll be working across the whole of DWP's Digital and Transformation group, so you'll be working with stakeholders across the business to tell their story and providing creative solutions to engage our people. Your focus will primarily be internal, but you will also support external speaker opportunities where our subject matter experts/leaders go out and speak at conferences. Our events are a vital channel to help translate technical and complex messages into relevant and understandable content that resonates with audiences.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, with excellent communication and engagement skills and who can manage and influence others to deliver high-quality events that meet business needs, are user-focused and have measurable impact.
The skills, knowledge and experience you need to show us:
- Experience of managing, monitoring and reporting on the outcomes of events as part of wider campaign and communication activity, following recognised best practice.
- Able to communicate in a straightforward, honest and engaging manner, choosing appropriate styles to maximise understanding and impact.
- Excellent people and project leadership skills: able to direct, motivate and support teams.
- The ability to influence key stakeholders to support project delivery.
- Experience of developing and delivering an events strategy for a large organisation that meets business and user needs.

- Location: Your choice of Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield.
- Hybrid working: We work a hybrid model - some time at home and some in a hub collaborating face-to-face.
- Pay: £44,447
- Pension: Civil Service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
- Holidays: Starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days. Up to 3 extra days off per month through flexi-time. Plus all the usual public holidays.
