Base pay range
Pay up to ÂŁ ÂŁ50,296, plus 28.97% employer pension contributions, hybrid working, flexible hours, and great work life balance.

We are hiring two experienced Frontend Developers to join our Accessibility Standards and Strategy team.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Our application process requires evidence of how you meet the following criteria:
- Experience of agile development, software design patterns, continuous integration, test driven development and version control (preferably Git).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience of identifying, locating and competently fixing faults.
- Strong interest in and commitment to accessibility.
You and your role
As part of a one-year development programme, you\’ll gain in-depth knowledge of digital accessibility, assistive technologies, and relevant legislation and standards.
You\’ll advise product teams on best practices for creating accessible web services and deliver training sessions to build capability across the organisation. You\’ll also contribute to cross-government accessibility networks, sharing knowledge and driving improvements at scale.
As part of your continuous development, you\’ll stay up to date with the latest front-end techniques, tools, and methods, ensuring that our services remain innovative and user-focused.
Location: You\’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Leeds, Newcastle or Sheffield whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – you\’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to ÂŁ46,547.
Pension: You\’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You\’ll also get all the usual public holidays.
