Role Description

This full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role is based in Westerham and supports scaffolding, brickwork, and GRC projects from tender through final account. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing measurements and Bills of Quantities (BOQ), assisting with tenders and quotations, and supporting the commercial team in pricing and valuations. The role involves monitoring project costs, preparing interim and final cost reports, managing variations, and ensuring accurate records of work completed. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate closely with site teams, project managers, and clients to support cost-effective delivery, mitigate commercial risks, and maintain alignment with budgets and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess cost planning and cost management skills to help set, track, and control project budgets.
• Candidates should possess cost control and cost reporting skills to monitor financial performance and provide clear commercial updates.
• Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and measurement to support accurate tendering and valuation.
• Relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, ideally within scaffolding, brickwork preferable.
• Knowledge of standard construction contracts (e.g., JCT or similar) and commercial procedures.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and cost management or estimating software.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work on-site, collaborate effectively with project and site teams, and manage multiple projects or work packages.
• A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent) is beneficial.
