Our nationally recognised Catastrophic Loss team at DWF (one of the largest in the UK) are currently recruiting for an ambitious NQ – 5 year post qualified Solicitor to join their team in Manchester.
The team represent a wide range of leading insurers, including many household names, specialising in complex, high value cases. These cases include Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs), Employers\’ Liability (EL), and Public Liability (PL) matters, with claim values ranging from £150,000 to £20 million.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team handling some of the most challenging and rewarding cases in the industry with opportunities for progression.
The role is hybrid and we would expect the successful individual to attend the Manchester office a minimum of 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities;
- To handle a multi-track personal injury caseload, in addition to assisting senior team members on high value complex cases.
- Advising clients, including insurers and corporate clients, on liability, quantum, and litigation strategy.
- Drafting documents, preparing for court, and engaging in settlement negotiations.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery.
- Staying updated on legal developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- A newly qualified or experienced Solicitor.
- Experience handling or assisting on defendant multi-track personal injury cases, including EL/PL or RTA matters.
- Strong technical knowledge of personal injury law, liability, and quantum assessment.
- Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding service and results.
- Strong academics.
