DWF are currently hiring for entry level and experienced Paralegals to join the Motor Fast Track team in Liverpool. The Motor Fast Track team advise and defend litigated Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims for a number of insurer clients as well as bringing counterclaims. Fast Track can be categorised as the civil track for personal injury claims with a value of £1,000 and up to £25,000, as well as property damage valuing over £10,000.

You can expect to receive exposure to a variety of matters, from minor injury accidents to more complex accidents and procedural issues. Working with established Clients and building rapport with their customers. We gain knowledge from working closely with colleagues who have a variety of experience. The role is office based, and in time with scope to work a hybrid pattern.

Responsibilities

  • To have responsibility for a case load of Motor Fast Track litigated files
  • Deal with incoming post and filling in to the case management system, in order to pro-actively manage a case load
  • Provide advice to clients on liability and quantum, procedural updates and reserves
  • Review and gather medical reports and records for injury claims where appropriate

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

  • Previous experience working in a Legal environment
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data
  • Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable

  • Previous experience of running a litigated Motor Fast Track caseload
  • Wider knowledge of the Motor personal Injury market in terms of strengths, weaknesses and opportunities
  • Previous experience of working with Visual Files case management system
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the importance and use of Management Information
