Responsibilities

  • To assist senior team members on a varied defendant Casualty caseload
  • Drafting court documents and adhering to strict deadlines
  • Conducting liability investigations, gathering evidence, preparing advice to clients, identifying medical experts and preparing instructions
  • Reviewing medical records and other case related documents
  • General day to day administration tasks including keeping the case management system up to date and in line with client service level requirements
  • Providing the highest level of client care at all times
  • To a satisfactory and speedy settlement in accordance with the client requirements

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

  • Previous experience assisting on or handling a defendant personal injury caseload including Employers Liability, Public Liability and catastrophic injury work
  • The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data
  • Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant Legal qualifications e.g. LLB, LLM, LPC

Desirable

  • Previous knowledge of working with Visual Files case management system
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the importance and use of Management Information
