Responsibilities
- To assist senior team members on a varied defendant Casualty caseload
- Drafting court documents and adhering to strict deadlines
- Conducting liability investigations, gathering evidence, preparing advice to clients, identifying medical experts and preparing instructions
- Reviewing medical records and other case related documents
- General day to day administration tasks including keeping the case management system up to date and in line with client service level requirements
- Providing the highest level of client care at all times
- To a satisfactory and speedy settlement in accordance with the client requirements
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Previous experience assisting on or handling a defendant personal injury caseload including Employers Liability, Public Liability and catastrophic injury work
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, whilst working to strict deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to quickly and carefully analyse files and sensitive data
- Computer literate including proficient use of Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant Legal qualifications e.g. LLB, LLM, LPC
Desirable
- Previous knowledge of working with Visual Files case management system
- Demonstrable knowledge of the importance and use of Management Information
