Paralegal - Fraud & Motor

Overview

The Fraud Team at DWF is seeking a motivated paralegal with expertise in motor claims to join our dynamic team in Manchester or Birmingham. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting with complex fraud and motor litigation cases for a wide variety of clients. The successful candidate will assist fee earners on Fraud & motor claims.

The position offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with the expectation to be in either the Manchester or Birmingham office one to two days per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist fee earners with a diverse caseload of fraud motor cases, from inception to resolution
• Conducting thorough investigations, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses
• Maintain accurate records and case files using the firm’s case management system
• Liaise with clients and external parties, providing updates and ensuring case progression
• Review and assess motor insurance claims, identifying potential fraud indicators
• Collaborate with clients, insurers, and other parties to obtain necessary evidence and documentation
• Researching to support legal strategies and case development

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential

• Previous paralegal experience in fraud or motor insurance claims is essential
• Strong knowledge of the UK legal system and civil litigation process
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure

Desirable

• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Proficiency in legal research and using case management software
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
