Overview
DWF's Insurance team in Scotland is looking to recruit experienced Paralegals to work in our award-winning insurance team. The successful applicants will act for household name insurers and provide high quality advice on defending a wide range of pre-litigation personal injury claims. Successful applicants must be Scotland qualified and have previous Paralegal experience in Scotland. The role can be based from either of our Edinburgh or Glasgow offices.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for assisting fee earners on files and supporting our qualified individuals on a diverse caseload for insurers pre-litigated and litigated claims, from inception to resolution.
- Duties will include conducting thorough investigations, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- A key part of the role will also involve conducting research to support legal strategies and case development.
Essential
- Previous Paralegal experience of 6+ months is ESSENTIAL for this role.
- Scottish qualified legal professional with previous Scotland law experience is ESSENTIAL for this role.
- Experience in the following areas will be considered - fraud, motor, road traffic accidents (RTA), personal injury, serious injury, large loss, complex loss, catastrophic loss, EL/PL, credit fraud, recoveries, etc.
- Experience in litigation would be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience of working in a fast paced environment with a volume of claims.
