Responsibilities Ensuring that cases are progressed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Strong technical ability to include a thorough grasp of principles, case law and litigation. Working with our valued and long-standing clients to understand requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice. Prioritising work effectively and maximising efficiency in working practices. Building stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. Developing your technical and commercial knowledge via training or working practices. What will help you succeed in this role? The role can be worked from Glasgow or Edinburgh. Essential Criteria 6+ months experience handling own caseload of pre-litigated and Sheriff Court Employers Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) and Personal Injury and Catastrophic Loss claims, as well as assisting more senior team members with large value, complex files. Experience managing Employers Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL) and Catastrophic Loss claims. Insurance litigation experience is essential. Previous experience in Scottish law and a Scotland legal qualifications are essential for this role. Desirable Criteria Experience handling litigation experience in one of the following areas: Employers Liability, Public Liability, Motor, RTA, Casualty, Abuse, Disease, Personal Injury, Serious Injury and Catastrophic Injury. Experience acting for Defenders, including litigation experience. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to work effectively under pressure. What we offer?
