The predicted salary is between 23850 - 29150 Β£ per year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified assistant accountant to gain broad exposure across financial reporting, management accounting, controls, and process improvement, while benefiting from structured development and a clear pathway towards a fully qualified Management Accountant role. We offer a flexible hybrid working model, with three days per week in our Manchester office, alongside a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, helping to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations, while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and supporting the delivery of management accounts, variance analysis, and reporting packs.
- Contribute to audit and compliance activities, assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, and identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance operations.
- Support transformation initiatives, system enhancements, and continuous improvement programmes that drive efficiency and strengthen financial controls.
Essential
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience within a finance, management accounting, or Record to Report (R2R) environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and work with large datasets.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience within a professional services or legal environment.
- Exposure to balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities.
- Experience working within a multi-entity or shared services environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Understanding of process improvement, automation, or finance transformation initiatives.
- A proactive approach to learning and continuous development.
