DWF are seeking a Solicitor or Associate to join our nationally recognised Employment team in London and work with some of the most dynamic clients and colleagues in the industry. We have large Employment Legal Services and Pension teams who work globally and act for a broad range of clients, from local SMEs to multinational conglomerates. We also advise human resources teams, in‑house lawyers, and provide support directly to businesses.
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Partner on high‑quality employment matters across multiple sectors, within a supportive and collaborative team. We combine top‑tier legal expertise with a modern, flexible approach to client service and team working. The role will be based in our London office, with a hybrid working arrangement that supports flexibility while maintaining strong team connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload, handling everything from day‑to‑day advisory work to employment tribunal litigation and restrictive covenant disputes.
- Provide pragmatic, business‑focused advice on issues including TUPE, reorganisations, contracts, policies, and senior exits.
- Work closely with our corporate and commercial teams on high‑value transactions.
- Take ownership of tribunal claims from drafting pleadings to conducting advocacy.
- Contribute to the team’s growth through networking and business development.
- Maintain and manage strong relationships with key clients whilst striving to achieve further growth through new and existing business.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Qualified solicitor from a national or strong regional firm.
- Employment advisory and litigation experience, with the ability to manage matters end‑to‑end.
- Confident, personable, and effective at managing stakeholders.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Experience handling complex matters and multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver practical, strategic advice to employer clients.
- Highly organised, efficient, and collaborative in approach.
