Our Commercial Insurance team at DWF is hiring for an Associate / Senior Associate in Property Damage/Property Fraud to join the team in Liverpool. This role can be based in any of our regional offices including Manchester or Liverpool with the option of a hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage your own caseload of property‑related claims.
  • Understand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice.
  • Analyse risk and further develop sound judgement to justify decisions to clients internally and externally.
  • Prioritise work effectively to maximise efficiency.
  • Understand individual role in the practice group and proactively seek to contribute to increased efficiency, developing a case load appropriate to the level of technical and legal knowledge.
  • Build working relationships internally and externally to develop business networks and gain a solid understanding of the firm’s direction and client needs.
  • Provide support and act as the go‑to person for more junior members in the team.

Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years PQE experience and a strong interest in Property Damage and Property Fraud claims work.
  • Prior experience handling an insurance property fraud, first‑party property damage (FPPD), third‑party property damage (TPPD), product liability, policy coverage and subrogated recoveries.
  • A fraud background with specific Property claims fraud expertise and experience.
  • Technical expertise and a strong interest in Commercial Insurance matters generally.
  • A proven track record of delivering results within strict deadlines and timeframes.

  • The ability to communicate and manage often complex issues for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A self‑motivated individual who can coach and develop others within the team.
