DWF are seeking a Pensions Solicitor to join our highly regarded Pensions team. Our Pensions practice is recognised for providing practical, commercial advice to a diverse client base, including trustees, employers and pension providers.
This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative team, where pensions lawyers undertake a broad mix of pensions and pensions‑related work. You will work closely with colleagues across our corporate, tax, employment, dispute resolution, finance and regulatory teams to deliver a fully integrated service. You will gain exposure to a broad range of advisory work while developing your expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
We welcome applications from newly qualified solicitors who have completed a seat in pensions or an enthusiastic learner, as well as those who have recently qualified into a pensions team. The role will be based in our Glasgow office.
Responsibilities- Advising trustees, employers and stakeholders on all aspects of UK pensions law.
- Supporting on scheme governance, compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Advising on pensions aspects of corporate transactions, restructures and funding arrangements.
- Assisting clients with managing pension liabilities and long-term risk strategy.
- Drafting and reviewing scheme documentation and member communications.
- Supporting matters involving SIPP and SSAS arrangements.
- Working closely with colleagues in other DWF teams.
- Building strong, trusted client relationships through clear and pragmatic advice.
- A qualified Solicitor with experience in pensions law or an enthusiastic learner.
- Strong drafting skills and excellent written communication.
- Commercially minded, with an interest in understanding clients’ business objectives.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Performance-driven, with a focus on delivering high-quality, pragmatic legal advice.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
