Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for assisting fee earners on files and supporting our qualified individuals on a diverse caseload for insurers pre‑litigated and litigated claims, from inception to resolution.
- Duties will include conducting thorough investigations, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- A key part of the role will also involve conducting research to support legal strategies and case development.
Essential qualifications
- Previous paralegal experience of 6+ months is essential for this role.
- Scottish qualified legal professional with previous Scotland law experience is essential for this role.
- We are unable to consider candidates with UK & Wales experience only for this role.
- Experience in the following areas will be considered – Fraud, Motor, Road Traffic Accidents (RTA), Personal Injury, Serious Injury, Large Loss, Complex Loss, Catastrophic Loss, Employer's Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), Occupiers Liability (OL), Credit Fraud, Recoveries, Abuse, Disease, etc.
- Experience in litigation would be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Experience of working in a fast‑paced environment with a volume of claims.
