DWF are recruiting a claims adjuster to join the Casualty Claims team. The purpose of the role is to have responsibility for and progress a caseload to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients. It is important that we ensure high levels of service delivery, both internally and externally, whilst maintaining management information under the terms of the client service level agreement. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, or you can also work from one of our many DWF offices around the UK, on a hybrid basis.
Responsibilities
- To proactively manage and progress own workload in line with service level agreements, best practice and internal policies and processes.
- Follow at all times any applicable client claims reserving philosophy and claims standards, including adherence to contractual service standards.
- To work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload.
- Awareness of relevant client strategies and ensuring implementation on cases/projects.
- Achievement of individual KPI\'s and contribution to team performance at a high level, including financial and non-financial measures where applicable.
- To research solutions to problems/issues on cases/projects to develop your own technical knowledge.
- To deliver revenue for the team through existing business activity and develop own professional network.
- Generate ideas for implementation which develop new ways of working and challenge the status quo.
- To be proactive in problem-solving on cases through identifying potential issues and solutions, always adding value to the case/project.
- Full engagement in the Firm\'s Performance Review cycle.
- To support the training and development of more junior team members, being a \'go-to\' subject matter expert.
- To demonstrate the Firm\'s Winning Behaviours, delivering a commitment to the firm\'s values and CSR agenda.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Essential
- Experience of/within the Personal Injury and EL/PL legal field in a similar role
- A proven track record of success both in terms of financial results and client service.
- Ability to prioritise effectively and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse information.
- Ability to work well under pressure and under tight deadlines.
- Experience dealing with direct Claimants
- Customer Service background/ ethic, and experience with customer focused outcomes.
- Desirable
- Experience of/within the specific Motor/Third Party Property Damage.
