DWF is currently recruiting a Medical Negligence Claims Adjuster to join their growing Claims Management and Adjusting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and progressing a caseload of medical negligence and pharmacy claims through to an effective and satisfactory conclusion. You will deliver a high standard of service to clients and stakeholders, both internally and externally, while ensuring accurate management information is maintained in line with client service level agreements. The role offers remote working, with occasional office attendance required in any of our UK offices throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- To proactively manage and progress a caseload of medical negligence claims, predominantly in the cosmetic and surgeon sector, in line with service level agreements, best practice and internal policies and processes.
- Follow at all times, any applicable client claims reserving philosophy and claims standards, including adherence to contractual service standards.
- To work flexibly in adjusting to changes in priority of workload.
- Awareness of relevant medical negligence protocols and procedural requirements.
- Achievement of individual KPI's and contribution to team performance at a high level, including financial and non-financial measures where applicable.
- To research solutions to problems/issues on cases/projects to develop your own technical knowledge.
- To be proactive in problem solving on cases through identifying potential issues and solutions, always adding value to the case/project.
- Full engagement in the Firm's Performance Review cycle.
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Essential Previous and tangible Claims experience, dealing with claims from cradle to grave, preferably within the Medical Negligence sector, but we will also consider applications from those with EL/PL.
