Why join us? You'll be joining a high-performing Finance Shared Services function at a pivotal time, with the opportunity to take real ownership of the Cashiering team and shape how it operates. Based in Manchester with a hybrid model (typically in the office Tuesday to Thursday), this is a role where you'll lead from the front, influence key stakeholders across the business, and play a critical part in ensuring financial control, compliance, and operational excellence across a complex, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities
- You'll lead and develop the Cashiering team, ensuring workloads are effectively managed, priorities are clear, and standards remain consistently high.
- Acting as the first point of escalation, you'll support your team through complex queries, deliver coaching and performance reviews, and create an environment where people are supported, accountable, and continually improving.
- Alongside leadership, you'll take ownership of core cashiering operations by overseeing the accurate processing of client and office transactions, ensuring full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and internal controls, and maintaining oversight of banking, reconciliations, and cashflow.
- You'll work closely with Finance, Legal Operations, and wider business teams, contributing to audits, supporting month and year-end processes, and identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls, and efficiency.

- Proven experience within a Legal Cashiering or Banking environment
- Considerable working knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills
- Good systems knowledge, including Microsoft Office
- Desirable
- Experience working within a Shared Services environment
- Exposure to FCA regulations
- Involvement in process improvement or transformations
- Experience supporting system implementations or upgrades
