Why join us? We’re recruiting two permanent Cash & Bank Specialists to join our Finance team in Manchester. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate, compliant bank reconciliations within a regulated legal environment and supporting the smooth operation of firm-wide financial processes. The team work in a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliations of all bank accounts in line with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled items promptly to maintain clean, auditable records.
- Support the preparation of month-end bank reconciliation reports.
- Monitor and record financial transactions, ensuring accurate posting and categorisation.
- Manage shared Finance query inboxes and respond to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Contribute to team discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential
- Legal cashiering experience within a law firm or legal finance environment.
- Experience performing bank reconciliations.
- Considerable attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality, accurate work.
- Microsoft Excel user (intermediate level).
- Organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience working within a professional services environment.
- Exposure to high-volume or multi-account reconciliations.
