We are seeking a talented Solicitor with litigation experience to join the Major Injury & Casualty claims team in Belfast. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of fraud and motor claims and play a key role in delivering high‑quality legal services to our clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the growth and success of our Belfast office. This is a hybrid role, with the successful candidate expected to attend the Belfast office weekly.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of litigated EL/PL / Casualty and Personal Injury claims, from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with experts.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and settlement negotiations.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated legal solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor with 1–3 years PQE in litigation, preferably in EL/PL, Casualty and/or Personal Injury (or other litigation experience).
  • Strong knowledge of EL/PL, Casualty and/or Personal Injury insurance law, including civil procedure and litigation processes.
  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.

  • Experience in handling high‑value or complex claims.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
