We are now hiring for a Legal Director to join our fantastic Real Estate team at DWF, an award-winning global legal business. The successful candidate will be based in our Belfast office with the option of our hybrid working arrangement. You will be joining a supportive team dedicated to excellent client service. This will be a fast-paced role with exposure to clients on a regular basis and varied work. The successful candidate will gain wide ranging and interesting commercial real estate experience.
The wider Real Estate Team at DWF is highly regarded by the independent directories Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 and is regarded by market commentators as one of the leading practices in the UK market in recent years. Our Real Estate Team deal with all aspects of real estate legal issues, including high-value acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management, development and funding matters relating to all kinds of real estate investments. We act for occupiers, developers, funders and professionals across different sectors. We also work with landlords and tenants within the institutional, telecoms, corporate, retail and public sectors.
Responsibilities
- Manage a varied case load of investment, development, finance, acquisitions, disposals and asset management
- Provide expert advice on landlord and tenant matters
- Support the Real Estate Partner in driving continuous growth and improvement across the team
- Supervising and mentoring other team members
- Maintaining and managing strong relationships with key clients whilst striving to achieve further growth through new and existing business
What will help you succeed in this role?
- Qualified solicitor with considerable experience working in a leading real estate team
- Experience managing your own caseload including acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold interests and commercial landlord and tenant matters for corporate occupiers
- Strong technical ability with excellent drafting and written communication skills
- Able to manage files independently and contribute to wider team matters when required
- Confident and personable with excellent stakeholder management skills
- A collaborative approach to building and developing strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Self-motivated and performance-driven, with a commitment to providing high-quality legal advice
- Experience leading, supervising, and mentoring others
