DWF is seeking an experienced Senior Business Manager to join our Commercial Services team, working closely with the Divisional CEO and Director of Operations. In this pivotal role, you will act as a trusted advisor and operational partner, enabling the CEO and Director of Operations to focus on client growth and strategic delivery. As a key member of the leadership team, you will collaborate regularly with Global Practice Area Heads, Country Managing Partners, and senior stakeholders across Central Services. We offer flexibility in location, with the role based at any of our offices in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle or Liverpool, alongside a hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CEO in fostering a high-performance culture across the division.
  • Guide teams to ensure priorities align with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement business strategies.
  • Represent the division in internal and external meetings; stand in for CEO/Director when required.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and consistency.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks.
  • Drive standardisation of practices across the division.
  • Track progress toward strategic goals and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to increase profitability.
  • Manage cross-team projects and ensure delivery against priorities.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for board and leadership meetings.
  • Follow up on actions post-meetings and maintain clear communication channels.
  • Ensure adherence to governance and regulatory standards.
