We’re recruiting a Senior Cash & Bank Specialist on a 6-month FTC to provide additional expertise and leadership within our Cash & Banking function. This role requires someone who can take immediate ownership of complex reconciliations and act as a technical point of reference. This will be a hybrid role based from our Manchester office.
Responsibilities
- Own daily and month-end bank reconciliations across all firm accounts, ensuring full SAR compliance.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of complex or high-risk reconciliation issues.
- Prepare and review detailed reconciliation reports for internal stakeholders and audit.
- Act as an escalation point for Cash & Bank queries.
- Support junior team members through task delegation and review.
- Identify and implement improvements to reconciliation processes and controls.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Extensive legal cashiering experience within a law firm or legal finance environment.
- Considerable working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).
- Experience owning and reviewing bank reconciliations.
- Advanced attention to detail with an audit mindset.
- Microsoft Excel user (intermediate to advanced level).
- Experience delegating work and managing priorities across teams.
Desirable
- Experience supporting internal or external audits.
- Involvement in process or systems improvements.
