Responsibilities

  • You will design, develop, and implement enhancements to DWF’s Elite 3E platform, working across a hybrid delivery model to meet business and regulatory requirements within the legal sector.
  • This includes analysing functional and technical requirements, producing robust solution designs, and delivering high-quality development outputs.
  • You will work closely with Finance stakeholders to validate requirements, support user acceptance testing, and ensure that solutions align with the operational needs of a global legal practice.
  • Alongside development, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the 3E system, including workflows, billing and invoice production, and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • You will develop and maintain SOAP APIs and web services, troubleshoot system issues, and support deployments across development, test, and production environments.
  • Working within DWF’s 3E development methodology, you will ensure consistency, quality, and compliance, while identifying opportunities for system and process improvement across the Finance Systems landscape.

Essential

  • Experience in Elite 3E development
  • Considerable VB.Net / .NET Framework development capability
  • Advanced SQL skills, including writing and optimising complex queries and DDL commands
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOAP APIs and XML web services
  • Considerable understanding of finance processes within a legal or professional services environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical teams and finance stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience working within a law firm or legal finance systems environment
  • Considerable understanding of Elite 3E framework, database schema, and stock code
  • Experience maintaining and enhancing large, customised 3E environments
  • Familiarity with XSLT and 3E internationalisation/localisation (i18n/l10n)
  • Experience across the full SDLC, including UAT coordination and production deployments
  • Considerable documentation, troubleshooting, and problem management practices
