DWF is seeking an experienced legal operations professional to join our Legal Operations & Technology Consulting (LOTC) team as a Legal Operations and Tech Senior Advisor. Our Legal Operations & Technology Consulting team is a developing global team, dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of legal departments worldwide. Our team works with a diverse range of clients, providing innovative solutions to complex legal and operational challenges.
This role will be working within a team that provides legal operations and legal tech consultancy services to DWF's clients, with the key responsibility being the provision of consultancy advice directly to clients and project management of such consultancy projects. The team supports clients in delivering their operational transformation projects, mapping existing workflows, identifying process improvements and the technology tools that will be best suited to their use cases and project managing the implementation of such changes.
We are very open to flexible working in this role and will adopt a hybrid approach working from any of our UK office locations. Due to the nature of this role, there will be UK travel required to meet with clients and attend industry events and project meetings.
Responsibilities- Play a key role in delivering client workshops focused on legal operations transformation and legal technology implementation, including process mapping and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Manage and deliver diverse projects to implement, maintain, and enhance legal technology platforms such as Contract Lifecycle Management, e-billing, and matter management systems.
- Develop proficiency across multiple technologies, pursuing relevant certifications where possible, and conduct ongoing research to deepen technical expertise.
- Contribute to client proposals, including supporting pricing model discussions tailored to a range of services.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, collaborating on product knowledge development and researching functionality to support client solutions.
- Monitor and proactively manage financial aspects of client projects, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely revenue collection, and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Proven expertise in legal operations, including process mapping, needs analysis, technology requirements, operational design, operational workflow and process re-engineering.
- Hands-on experience with leading legal technology platforms, such as Thomson Reuters HighQ, Contract Express, Legal Tracker, Microsoft SharePoint, Power Platform, Copilot, as well as Ironclad, LawVu, DocuSign CLM, ContractPodAI, Sirion, Icertis, and Brightflag.
- Strong project management capabilities, with a track record of successfully delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, enabling effective collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
- Highly adaptable team player, with the ability to work independently and take a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Readiness to contribute to proposals and pursue work winning opportunities.
- Experience working with global clients and managing cross-functional teams.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or legal operations (e.g., CLOC, ACC).
- Advanced degree in law, business, or a related field.
