We're seeking an experienced Litigator to join the team as Paralegal. As Paralegal you’ll manage a caseload of defendant motor credit hire claims and play an important role in delivering high-quality legal services to our insurer clients. You’ll be responsible for progressing files efficiently, drafting key legal documents, and working closely with colleagues, clients, and third parties to achieve effective case outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative environment, working on a varied caseload for high-profile clients. The role is hybrid with office attendance required in Liverpool 2 days per week (Monday & Tuesday are the team’s office days).

Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of Credit Hire claims, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in handling.
  • Conducting legal research and drafting documents, including defences, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
  • Liaising with clients, insurers, and third parties to ensure effective communication and case progression.
  • Providing support to senior fee earners and contributing to team targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with DWF’s standards and regulatory requirements.

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential:

  • Proven experience working as a Paralegal within credit hire or experience handling in your own right or supporting on a litigated caseload.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Desirable:

  • A strong understanding of Credit Hire litigation processes and principles.
