Why join us? The Motor – Credit Hire team at DWF are currently looking for an experienced Paralegal to join their dynamic and supportive team in Liverpool or Newcastle. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative environment, working on a varied caseload for high-profile clients. The role is hybrid with office attendance required 2 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of Credit Hire claims, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in handling.
- Conducting legal research and drafting documents, including defences, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Liaising with clients, insurers, and third parties to ensure effective communication and case progression.
- Providing support to senior fee earners and contributing to team targets.
- Ensuring compliance with DWF’s standards and regulatory requirements.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential:
- Proven experience working as a Paralegal in Credit Hire or a related legal area.
- Experience handling in your own right or supporting on a litigated caseload.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Desirable:
- A strong understanding of Credit Hire litigation processes and principles.
