This is an exciting opportunity, open to new graduates, to join DWF Costs and join a new team dealing with Scottish expenses, account preparation and negotiation. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate. There is also opportunity for training and development in the legal costs of Scotland. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will assist a Director and Senior Law Accountant with a caseload of primarily litigated insurance costs work. Scottish work will be a mix of RTA, EL/PL and Disease cases to include: consideration of accounts, preparation of objections and negotiations with Third Party agents in addition to drafting Accounts for the recovery of expenses.

- Essential: You will be a law graduate looking for your first step within an innovative legal business, looking to develop and grow your professional expertise.
- Experience in working to tight deadlines and SLAs.
- Accurate numeracy skills and the ability to work with data.
- Ability to use initiative and problem solve situations as they arise.
- Desirable: Previous experience working in cost law, preferable areas being: The insurance sector; Road Traffic Accidents; Employment Liability and Public Liability; Industrial Disease.
- Experience in assessing/negotiating accounts of expenses.
- Experience in drafting accounts of expenses.
- Experience in preparing points of objection/responses.
