The Company Secretarial Services team at DWF is looking for a Company Secretarial Assistant to join their team in our Central Manchester office. In this role, you will manage a varied workload, taking instructions directly from Company Secretarial Services clients and colleagues across DWF. You will be expected to work effectively on an independent basis, while also contributing to the wider team. Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining clients’ statutory records
- Proactively notifying client contacts of key filing deadlines to support compliance with the Companies Act 2006 (CA2006), including annual compliance requirements and bespoke requests
- Drafting board minutes and supporting documentation for core company secretarial matters
- Supporting bespoke requests from clients and DWF fee earners, providing assistance across a range of transactional matters
- Providing board support to clients, including meeting attendance, minute-taking, and circulation of board packs
- Liaising with Companies House
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
- Relevant knowledge, skills, and experience, including maintaining statutory records; supporting compliance with the Companies Act 2006 (CA2006); and attending board meetings (including minute taking and circulation of board packs)
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified with CGI (or a commitment to working towards the qualification)
- A clear understanding of the importance of high standards of client care and close attention to detail
- The ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently, with confidence, communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Well‑developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing deadlines
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- A good level of IT proficiency
Desirable
- Familiarity with Diligent Entities
- Experience working within a legal environment
