DWF is looking to recruit a Claims Assistant to join our CMA – Service Delivery team in Bristol. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in legal administration, gaining exposure to both internal and external stakeholders while working within a supportive, collaborative and collegiate team. You’ll play an important role in supporting Claims Handlers with the day‑to‑day management of claims, helping to ensure high standards of service delivery and efficient case progression. This role offers valuable experience within a professional legal environment, with scope to build technical knowledge and develop new ways of working.
As a Claims Assistant, you’ll provide administrative and operational support to the team, acting as a key point of contact via a general inbox and telephone line. You’ll help ensure claims are progressed efficiently, service level agreements are met, and accurate management information is maintained, while contributing positively to team performance and client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and manage incoming emails and voicemails via a general inbox and 0800 number, taking appropriate action in line with service level agreements.
- Support Claims Handlers with straightforward administrative and case‑related tasks to enable effective workload management.
- Undertake data input and administrative tasks to support the production of accurate client management information.
- Work flexibly to respond to changing priorities and workload demands.
- Achieve individual KPIs and contribute to overall team performance, including financial and non‑financial measures where applicable.
- Research solutions to issues on cases or projects to develop technical knowledge.
- Proactively identify potential issues on cases and suggest practical solutions that add value.
- Contribute ideas that improve ways of working and challenge existing processes.
- Fully engage in the firm’s Performance Review cycle.
- Demonstrate DWF’s Winning Behaviours, values and commitment to corporate social responsibility.
