DWF is now hiring for a Claims Adjuster to join our team! You will have responsibility for and ownership of a varied caseload, dealing primarily with PL claims and property damage claims. You will progress these claims, or projects, to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients, ensuring high levels of service delivery, both internally and externally, whilst maintaining management information under the terms of the client service level agreement.
The position is remote working with the option to attend offices throughout the UK if needed.
Responsibilities
- To manage and progress your own high-volume caseload of 300+ cases to a satisfactory standard for clients.
- To handle incoming post and emails in order to identify incoming claims, documentation and correspondence from clients, third parties and colleagues internally.
- To assess the liability of each claim, obtaining the best financial outcomes for the client.
- To negotiate settlements on claims and to help arrange for repairs with our third-part repair companies.
- To maintain management information under the terms of the client’s service level agreement.

Essential
- Exposure to or experience of handling property damage claims, preferably on a defendant/third party basis.
- A proven track record of success both in terms of financial results and client service.
- Excellent attention to detail to be able to carefully analyse information.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to build effective professional relationships both with external clients and internal colleagues.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in your attitude and approach to work.
- Business acumen and an understanding of the clients\’ needs.
- Experience of Microsoft Office
