DWF are currently recruiting for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our expanding Consumer & Retail Financial Services Regulatory team in Belfast. Our Financial Services Regulatory (FSR) team supports national and international financial services practices and clients. We offer both contentious (non-litigation) and non-contentious advisory services, with a particular focus on consumer and retail markets.
As an Associate in this team, you can expect to work across a range of client instructions; including structuring and advising on transactions and corporate restructuring (regulatory notifications, client transfers, and due diligence), as well as engaging with the FCA on supervisory issues and regulatory interventions.
Responsibilities- Manage complex and high-value cases, both contentious and non-contentious, while providing high-quality service to clients.
- Provide high-quality, technically precise, and commercially focused regulatory advice to firms and their senior managers across a range of consumer/retail markets.
- Maintain your knowledge of financial services regulation and stay up to date with current sector and market trends.
- Support and develop junior fee earners, providing technical and strategic advice, and supervising cases.
- Qualified solicitor with significant legal expertise and interest in consumer financial services regulation and markets.
- Proven ability to manage complex and high-value cases, both contentious and non-contentious.
- Ability to develop your own business and support the team with expanding existing and new clients.
- Experience of effectively supervising, advising and developing junior fee earners.
- Innovative and motivated to seek new ways of working and challenge and improve internal practices.
- A collaborative approach to building and developing excellent relationships with clients and colleagues.
