At DWF, part of our plan of strategic recruitment - and as a result of some recent client panel appointments - we are expanding and looking for a Barrister to join the team who specialise in one or more of our core practice areas: Personal Injury/Fraud, Commercial, Regulatory and Employment. DWF Chambers provides expert, streamlined advocacy services as an alternative to the traditional bar and chambers. Join us and elevate your career within a global and supportive environment!
Responsibilities
- Carry out fee earning work in line with the DWF Chambers Policy.
- Bill in line with financial target set by DWF Chambers leadership team.
- Build professional relationships internally and externally to DWF.
- Attend DWF Chambers business development events and seminars.
- Identify individual key contacts / targets.
- Assist with planning for chambers seminar programme e.g. identifying topics for seminars and delivering a minimum of one seminar per annum.
- Contribute to the firm's CSR initiatives.
- Comply with the BSB Handbook including the Code of Conduct.
- Comply with BSB/SRA requirements for continuing professional development.
- Consider transfer to the bar (where solicitor-advocate).
- Comply with firm's objective management requirements (individually and in conjunction with any colleagues who report to them).
- Attend and contribute to annual practice development meeting with Director of Clerking.
