Role Overview
Are you an energetic, detail-oriented hospitality professional ready to step into a leadership role? We are seeking a passionate Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to drive operational excellence across our dining outlets at our Kingswood Golf Club in Surrey .
In this role, you will work hand-in-hand with the F&B Manager to oversee daily operations across our restaurant, bar, room service, and event spaces. As we are a busy and highly successful Events destination of choice, the Assistant F&B Manager will play a key role in ensuring the successful operational service delivery for large and smaller more intimate celebrations. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have a track record of managing high-quality conference and events venues.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations: Supervise the floor during busy breakfast, lunch, dinner services and functions, jumping in to lead by example and maintain high service standards Supervise, coach and support the restaurant team to maintain high service standards..
Team Leadership: Assist with staff scheduling, training, performance coaching, and conducting effective shift handovers Assist with staff scheduling, reviews and smooth daily operations..
Guest Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for guest enquiries, proactively resolving complaints and building strong customer loyalty Handle guest enquiries and resolve complaints professionally..
Financial Controls: Manage inventory stock levels, handle cash registers, and complete precise opening and closing financial procedures Ensure accurate cash handling and completion of opening and closing procedures..
Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and food hygiene standards (HACCP) across all customer delivery points to keep both teams and guests safe The role ensures exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, compliance with health and safety standards, and achievement of financial objectives..
The Ideal Candidate
Experience: Proven experience as an F&B /Banqueting Supervisor, conference &events Assistant manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, or Team Leader Must have previous conference and events/ hospitality management or supervisory experience and be able to manage the daily operation of the Restaurant & Bar and Events delivery.
Skills: Strong team coordination abilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Qualifications: High level of wine, spirit, and coffee knowledge is highly preferred.
Mindset: A positive, problem-solving attitude with the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
