Based in the Safe Room at Carlos Place and supporting the UK business, the Inventory Control Specialist ensures accurate stock management and compliance with company procedures. The role reports to the Inventory Control Manager and primarily focuses on stock control and accuracy, with support responsibilities for retail operations and logistics. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a high level of professionalism when handling high-value goods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurate and timely processing of inventory transactions across all store locations and between departments.
  • Support the Inventory Control Manager in completing efficient and accurate monthly stocktakes.
  • Investigate discrepancies from stocktakes, daily counts, cycle counts, inventory reports or any other cause and resolve them in the ERP system.
  • Ensure safe room activities comply with company procedures and security protocols for high-value goods.
  • Provide stock for retail teams when needed, including during daily store set up and pack down.
  • Carry out regular cabinet counts, ad hoc stock counts and planned cycle counts as laid out in the stocktake calendar.
  • Pick stock for sales floor replenishment and stock transfers as required by commercial and merchandising teams.
  • Pick stock for item loans, trunk shows or other events, accurately recording these in our ERP and receiving these back in.
  • Pick, pack and prepare client orders for domestic and international shipment.
  • Support sales team with receipt and logging of client own pieces ensuring company processes are followed.
  • Complete packaging stock checks and reporting as required.
  • Report any breaches of security or inventory control protocol to line management to be addressed.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate stock records and contribute to departmental reporting.

Responsibilities when providing cover for logistics and operations functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Arranging shipments of item loans, trunk shows, stock transfers and client orders.
  • Generating shipment documentation and commercial invoices for international shipments.
  • Working with customs brokers to facilitate customs clearance.
  • Working with couriers to facilitate efficient shipment of goods.
  • Physical hand carry of stock transfers as support for the stock runner during absences or busy periods.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an inventory, stock control, or safe room role within retail (luxury preferred).
  • Experience shipping luxury or high-value goods.
  • Understanding of ERP systems, including experience working within stock control systems and willingness to learn advanced functionality.
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
